One field trip we had was visiting Zablans (Honiniwai). This field trip was on Thursday, JUly 7. We tested the stink pond water and the ocean water, and we were also planting the the plants next to the stink pond so all the native plants can have all that soil to grow and to help stop erosion so that all of that soil does not wash away. At Zablans the guest speakers were Anushka Faucci and Tricia Murata. What I learned at Zablans is that there are many different plankton, and that plankton live in dirty water, ocean water, freshwater, and swamp water; they are almost everywhere. The highlight of the trip was when we were able to pick up trash at Zablans because people don’t really take good care of the island. The trip was important because we were taking care of the land that everyone loves to go to.
